5 Top Speakers at the Crypto Valley Conference 2019

The Crypto Valley Conference is one of the leading conferences on blockchain technology - and a unique event on many levels.

In sharp contrast to the vast majority of other events focused on blockchain and crypto, the CVC takes a serious, academic-oriented approach to the technology - and this is reflected in the fact that it is the only IEEE-accredited conference on blockchain anywhere in the world.

The 2019 edition brings the event back for the 2nd time - with an even larger line-up of speakers and contributors who will descend on Zug for four days with the opportunity to explore the Crypto Valley ecosystem with all its landmarks and history (and Bitcoin ATMs).

Here’s a quick rundown on five of the top names not to miss in June.

PETER TODD - one of the original names of the Bitcoin Core development team, Peter Todd has not only contributed technically to the development of Bitcoin, but he is also a frequent and outspoken commentator on CryptoTwitter.

DR ULRICH SCHIMPEL - IBM has made big waves lately with its move into the blockchain space and Dr Schimpel is part of that. A veteran of IBM for over 15 years, he recently moved from the European team to Switzerland to become CTO.

EMANNUELLE GANNE - An international trade expert and author of several high-level publications including the WTO’s “Can Blockchain Revolutionize International Trade” study, Ms Ganne is one of the bright minds exploring blockchain’s potential in the field of business and global trade.

DR PINAR EMIRDAG - A graduate of Brown University, Dr Emirdag combines entrepreneurial experience with a technical background and involvement in many major blockchain initiatives including R3 and HyperLedger. Her role at State Street puts her in a prime position to influence the next generation of financial products.

DR THOMAS MOSER - A self-styled “crypto head,” Dr Thomas Moser is a frequent speaker at blockchain-focused events and one of the clearest voices among central bankers for the innovation of crypto finance. Despite the reticence of his colleagues at the Swiss National Bank to speak openly about cryptocurrencies and digital assets, Dr Moser is a clear proponent of the innovation.
